Greetings! I was born at Johnson Memorial Hospital and have lived here all of my life.
Today, I work in historic downtown Franklin. I am blessed to be close to family
and friends in my hometown.
While Johnson County is a great Hoosier community, we face challenges.
We are one of Indiana's fastest-growing counties, which is exciting. But the growth has strained local government -- especially at the county level.
Recent decreases in property values, the downturn in the overall economy and changes in state legislation have placed financial burdens on county services.
The biggest question is how to fairly pay for the demanding needs for local government services such as infrastructure and public safety without creating excessive financial burdens on taxpayers.
I believe the answers require comprehensive planning and collaborative leadership. County government cannot have a piecemeal approach to land use, road improvements, economic development and law enforcement.
I believe proactive approaches will serve us best in the long term.
The Johnson County Council is responsible for the financial well-being of county government. My background in finance and my extensive knowledge
of this county will help the council make responsive and responsible decisions.
I want to bring a fresh voice to county government. Throughout
my life, I have been involved in many leadership positions and have immersed myself in service to my home community. I grew up in Johnson County, work in Johnson County and invest my life in Johnson County.
I want to be part of the long-term solutions for Johnson County government. I want to be part of the next generation of leadership here.
